Drake’s rap beef with Kendrick Lamar continued Thursday morning with a cryptic social media post, his first since a security guard was shot outside his sprawling Toronto mansion.

In a post to his Instagram Story, the Toronto rapper shared a scene from the Netflix show A Man In Full where Jeff Daniels’ character Charlie Croker appears to be dead while lying on the floor.

“I don’t mean this as a criticism,” Daniels says in a voiceover in the opening seconds of the show.

“Maybe I do. But when you die, will people notice? When I go, there are gonna be a lot of memories of me by a lot of people, many who hate me. Even so, a person needs to live with vigour. Otherwise, what’s the point?”

Drake and Lamar have been duking it out on the microphone, releasing diss tracks online about one another in recent days.

Early Tuesday, a security guard was seriously wounded following a drive-by shooting outside Drake’s property in the swanky Bridle Path neighbourhood.

Toronto Police say the motive is unclear why the guard was shot while on patrol and the investigation is ongoing.

It is also unknown if Drake was at home at the time of the gunfire.

On Wednesday, cops were called to his residence again for a report of an unwanted guest trying to gain access to the estate.

Police say a “person in crisis,” possibly trying to get into the home to see the rapper, was arrested.
