Elon Musk’s SpaceX Plans to Send a Million People to Mars |

Elon Musk and his aim to colonise Mars are not new to this world. Musk has, in the past, has talked about colonising Mars countless times, and this week, he shed some more light on his plans. The billionaire entrepreneur said that his intention to take a million people on Mars.
“We are mapping out a game plan to get a million people to Mars,” Musk, who is also the CEO of SpaceX, wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) while replying to an account which said that “Starship is the largest rocket ever built and it’ll take us to Mars”.
“Civilisation only passes the single-planet Great Filter when Mars can survive even if Earth supply ships stop coming,” he noted, adding, “One day, a trip to Mars will be like a flight across the country.”
This announcement aligns with Musk’s previous statements about ambitious space exploration goals. He noted that the SpaceX Dragon spaceship will take astronauts the furthest they’ve been from Earth in over half a century. Musk added that a lot of work will be required to live on Mars.
Musk’s plans with the Moon
Prevsiouly, when users enquired about Starship’s Red Planet launch, Musk responded, “Starship should reach the moon within 5 years.”
Earlier, Musk expressed confidence in sending humans to the moon within eight years via SpaceX. He stated, “What will things be like eight years from now…I think we will have landed on Mars and I think we will have sent people to the Moon.”
Establishing a lunar base is another of his ambitions. “Humanity should have a moon base, Martian cities, and be out among the stars.”
“We should have a permanent human base on the moon, followed by sending people to Mars. There might be more beyond the space station, but time will tell,” he previosuly said.
