The teaser of Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur was recently released amidst an impressive response from his fans and the audience alike.
After donning depth-filled roles in films like Raazi, Uri, and Sardar Udham, expectations from Vicky Kaushal films are usually high. Now, the actor is back with yet another patriotic drama. Vicky will be seen essaying the role of India’s first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw.
In an attempt to ensure minute details of his life journey is preserved, the makers have shot the biopic across 13 locations in India.The intent was to cover four decades of Sam Manekshaw’s journey and contribution across five wars.
The 13 shoot locations of the film were Mumbai (Maharashtra); Pahalgam (J&K), Srinagar (J&K), Jodhpur (Rajasthan); Delhi (Delhi); Pataudi (Haryana); Pinjore/Chandigarh (Punjab); Kolkata (West Bengal); Ooty (Tamil Nadu); Coonoor (Tamil Nadu); Patiala (Punjab); Dehradun (Uttarakhand); and Lonavala/Pune (Maharashtra).
Vicky Kaushal’s look in the film has also received love from the audience. Meghna Gulzar’s directorial also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra in prominent roles.
Interestingly, the makers decided to cast real-life personnel of the armed forces instead of featuring junior supporting artists to add to the film’s authenticity.
