Carlos Sainz sits on fifth with 153 points – just eight more than his teammate. The Spaniard would be aiming to finish ahead of Charles Leclerc in order to cement his position in the team. McLaren’s Lando Norris would be looking to fend off competition from compatriot George Russell with an eye on Ferrari duo.
Lance Stroll currently sits on 10th but is only one point ahead of Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and three ahead of his teammate Esteban Ocon. Both French drivers would be aiming to finish ahead of each other with both of their contracts expiring after next season. Valtteri Bottas is the last driver with two digit points so far, sitting on 14th position, meaning that he faces a threat from everyone behind him in the standings.
