F1 2023: Ferrari shows off gorgeous red-white livery for Las Vegas GP, leaves Leclerc in awe

The first Ferrari to feature swathes of white on its sculpted red bodywork was the iconic 312T that raced in th 1975 season.The colour scheme was an instant hit, with Niki Lauda winning his first drivers’ championship and Clay Regazzoni adding enough points to help the team to the constructors’ crown – their first titles since 1964.
Comments of appreciation for the new livery poured in on social media with one user sarcastically commenting “Atleast we’re losing with a beautiful car”. Meanwhile the SF-23 has featured a red and black livery for the majority of the season. It will be interesting to see if the new red and white livery can serve as a good omen for the team after a lackluster display at the Sao Paulo GP last week.
Ferrari currently sits on third in the constructors’ trophy race, 20 points behind Mercedes. An 80 point lead over McLaren on fourth seems good enough to secure at least a third, however, the Maranello team would love to secure a second consecutive runner up spot. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have 192 and 170 points to their name so far, putting them on sixth and seventh in the race for drivers’ championship respectively.
