The third installment of the comic caper ‘Fukrey’ released on Thursday, September 28 and the film had a very decent opening. The film starring Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh has turned into a very popular franchise with iconic characters like Choocha and Bholi Punjaban. Hence, with this familiarity, on its opening day, it collected around Rs 8.82 crore nett which was a decent number.
On Saturday, the collections saw a slight drop and made Rs 7.81.However, ‘Fukrey 3‘ saw a jump on Saturday and made double digit numbers of Rs 11.67 crore. The good news is, the Sunday numbers have seen a further jump of 30 percent and the film clocked Rs 15-15.50 crores on its first Sunday as per Sacnilk. With these Sunday numbers added, the four-day total of ‘Fukrey’ now stands at Rs 43.50 crore. The collection is expected to further go high on Monday which is again a National Holiday due to Gandhi Jayanti.
With this, one can expect the film to cross Rs 50 crore after the Monday collections and if it continues to grow over the weekdays, there’s a possibility of it reaching the 100-crore mark. ‘Fukrey’ is still facing competition from ‘Jawan’ as the film continues to hold well even after completing more than three weeks.
