Gas Leak at MCD School in Naraina Results in Hospitalization of 24 Students

23 children from a municipal school in Naraina, Delhi, were hospitalized after a suspected gas leak incident. The smell affected some classrooms and made the children feel sick. 19 students were admitted to RML Hospital, while the remaining children were taken to Acharya Shree Bhikshu Hospital. The cause of the gas leak is still being investigated, but it is believed to be a faulty gas cylinder. All the students are in stable condition and receiving medical attention. Officials from the civic health department and education department are investigating the incident. According to initial assessments, a foul smell filled the classrooms, causing sickness among the children. The classrooms have been evacuated as a precaution. Further examination is being conducted to determine the source of the smell, with a nearby railway track being considered. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva visited the hospitalized students and called for an investigation into the incident.
