Google Tempts Employees with $99 Hotel Stays to Encourage Return to Office

Google is enticing its employees to return to the office by offering discounted hotel stays at its new campus. The employees can stay at an on-campus hotel for only $99 per night. The initiative is aimed at helping remote workers transition into a hybrid work model. The program, known as the ‘Summer Special’, will be available until September 30. However, the company will not reimburse the employees for their stays, and they will have to use their personal credit cards to pay. Google implemented a policy last year requiring employees to work in the office for three days a week. The company regularly offers accommodation specials to its employees, along with discounts on other services and entertainment options. If an employee stays at the company’s hotel for 30 days, it will cost around $2,970 per month. Comparable four-star hotels in the area charge between $120 and $250 per night. Some employees expressed their excitement about the discounted stays on an internal forum.
