Hailey and Justin Bieber don’t go to a regular church, they go to a cool church. After the reputation of their former celebrity megachurch Hillsong went up in flames, the Biebers pivoted to Churchome, yet another star-studded church run by yet another charismatic Millennial pastor. Naturally, attending such a house of worship requires something more than the longstanding notion of “church appropriate” clothing, as evidenced by the Biebers’ attire at last night’s Beverly Hills service.
Hailey mixed neutrals, wearing a black, ab-baring crop top with dusty-brown corduroy pants, which she cinched with a black leather belt. Ever the fan of a long coat, she wore a black leather Matrix-style trench and tied a black sweater over her shoulders. She balanced out her tough look with a pair of sweet black square-toed ballet flats and heart-shaped earrings.
Justin, for his part, looked ever the cool youth pastor in a black Balenciaga moto jacket, which he wore over a white tee. He added a pair of funky painted jeans, the legs adorned in colorful designs including bright orange flowers and what appears to be a marijuana leaf. He topped off his outfit with a navy Nike baseball cap and a pair of white sneakers with blue detailing.
This isn’t the first time the Biebers have eschewed the traditional idea of Sunday best. Recently, Hailey tested out the pantless trend at Churchome, while Justin wore oversized patchwork jeans. So say goodbye to itchy wool sweaters, prim blouses, and knee-length skirts, because the Biebers are modeling a new take on church clothes for a hip, young, God-fearing generation.
