Hero Karizma set to return this month! Hritikh Roshan roped in as brand ambassador again

Hero MotoCorp has confirmed the re-introduction of the Karizma nameplate in India, set to take place on August 29, 2023. Just like the predecessor, Bollywood superstar Hritikh Roshan has been brought in as the brand ambassador of the Karizma motorcycle yet again.

Karizma first made its debut over two decades ago, and at the time, Hero MotoCorp was in a joint venture in India with Japanese two-wheeler company Honda.

Known as the Hero Honda Karizma, the motorcycle was an instant success in the country, leading to the introduction of the Karizma R as its successor, and then Karizma ZMR later on before being discontinued from the market.

The new-generation of the motorcycle will be called Hero Karizma XMR. While specifications aren’t available as of yet, we expect Hero MotoCorp to plonk a 210 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine on the motorcycle, putting out about 25 PS of maximum power, mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The suspension duties will likely be taken care of by telescopic forks up front, coupled to a monoshock at the rear. Braking is expected to be taken care of by a standard front disc brake, while a rear disc brake could also be on offer, with dual-channel ABS. Other features will likely include a fully-digital instrument cluster, LED headlight and tail light, navigation, hazard-light switch and so on.
