Hyundai Creta EV spotted testing on Indian roads: Check design, expected features and pricing

Hyundai Motor India has once again been spotted testing the Hyundai Creta EV on Indian roads. The fresh spy shots reveal new details and the interior of the EV SUV is visible too. The all-electric Creta is expected to hit the Indian market by the end of 2024 when launched the Creta EV will directly compete with the MG ZS EV and Mahindra XUV 400. It will also go up against the Tata Nexon EV, the upcoming Harrer EV and the Honda Elevate EV.

In terms of design, the new Creta EV will carry over a similar design language as seen in the ICE model. However, to differentiate the EV from the ICE model Hyundai will tweak a few elements. It’s expected to get a blanked-off grille with re-designed front and rear bumpers, a repositioned Hyundai logo and a front-fender-mounted charging port. The spotted vehicle also features 17-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels.

As mentioned previously, the interior of the Creta EV has been revealed. The EV will have a similar dashboard layout with different upholstery. The EV will feature twin screens – one for the infotainment and one for the cluster. The EV will get a different steering wheel with a different style logo which is offered in EVs sold in global markets. It’s also expected that the drive mode selector will be mounted on the steering column.
In terms of features, it gets EV-based UI for infotainment and digital cluster, dual-zone climate control, connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charger, air purifier, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, electric front driver seat, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS suite and much more.

There are no details of the electric motor and the battery pack. The Creta EV is expected to be equipped with a 45-50 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 450 kms on one full charge. With the launch of the Creta EV, the SUV will be broadly available in multiple engine options – all-electric, turbo petrol, NA petrol and a turbo diesel.
