Take Kylie Jenner, for example: On multiple occasions throughout 2023, she wore her hair very intentionally over at least one eye, such as at the WSJ Innovator Awards and at Paris Fashion Week. And now, in her latest Instagram grid post, she’s wearing her hair over her eyes again — but not in a way we’ve ever seen or expected.
Whether or not you’ve come to start picturing the entrepreneur with a tendril or two over her eye, chances are your default mental image of Jenner involves long, voluminous, dark brown hair. Her look in the latest Kylie Cosmetics campaign checks that third box, but it’s neither long nor voluminous. In fact, it’s perhaps the edgiest, bluntest, artsiest bowl cut we’ve ever seen, made all the more fascinating by the fact that it’s on Kylie Jenner’s head — a space usually reserved for ’90s supermodel length and layers.
Jenner poses in a strapless, black dress, her ear-length hair almost a perfect color match. The bell-shaped bowl cut has an almost helmet-like effect, completely covering her eyes, but lifting a bit higher than the rest of the length across her nose. It’s a perfect presentation for the campaign’s star product: Precision Pout lip liners, which launch on December 6.
