The Indian film industry is set to hall all film shoots on Monday, January 22, in honour of the Ram Lalla consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
ETimes has learnt that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has declared Monday as a ‘compulsory holiday‘, leading to the suspension of approximately 100 ongoing shoots. BN Tiwari, President of FWICE, announced the decision, stating, “We have declared a holiday, and no shooting will take place on that day as our workers have been given leave for that day.”
Tiwari addressed concerns from producers regarding deadlines for TV and OTT shows, emphasizing that shoot permissions would be granted only upon receiving a request letter with a valid reason for the specific shoot.Tiwari acknowledged the impact of the holiday on about 100 odd shoots, emphasizing the industry’s collective decision to take a break on the significant day.
The Pran Pratishta ceremony, set to be held in Ayodhya on January 22, will be led by priests, including Lakshmikant Dixit, conducting the main rituals.

Invitations have been extended to several prominent personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher,
