Indian women’s squad for Australia ODI series announced | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Monday saw the addition of Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap, Saika Ishaque, and Titas Sadhu to the Indian women’s ODI squad for the forthcoming limited overs match against Australia.
Beginning on December 28 with the first One-day International at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the Indian women’s team will play three One-day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals against the visiting Australian side.
The 20-year-old Kashyap, a crafty left-arm spinner from Patiala, was previously called up for the T20I series against England but did not play.
After Shreyanka made her debut in the T20I series against England earlier this month, she was called up for her first ODI.
Shreyanka took five wickets in three matches against Heather Knight’s women, and in the third and final Twenty20 International of the series, she was named Player of the Match.
Both Kashyap and Titas Sadhu were a member of India’s winning women’s Under-19 World Cup team in February.
One of the best bowlers for the Mumbai team in the first Women’s Premier League was Saika Ishaque.
Beginning on December 28, the three-match ODI series will take place at Wankhede Stadium. The following two games are scheduled for January 2 and December 30.
After then, the three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) on January 5, 7, and 9 will be held in Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium.
Smriti Mandhana will be Harmanpreet Kaur‘s deputy in both teams.
In Mumbai on Sunday, India defeated Australia by eight wickets in the one-off women’s Test match.
