MINNEAPOLIS — Indiana basketball forward Anthony Walker couldn’t put any weight on his right leg on Wednesday night as a pair of his teammates helped him off the court.
Walker fell to the floor in pain while holding his right knee after hitting a layup that gave the Hoosiers a 35-28 lead with 16:32 left against Minnesota at Williams Arena. The injury came just seconds after Walker checked into the game for Kel’el Ware, who went to the bench with his third foul.
The Miami transfer got extended playing time in the first half when Malik Reneau picked up a pair of fouls at the 13 minute mark. Walker had six points with a rebound and assist.
Indiana basketball coach Mike Woodson didn’t have an update on Walker’s status after the game. Walker has provided Woodson with key depth in the front court this season. He’s averaged 14.8 minutes off the bench and played double-digit minutes in four of the team’s last six games.

He signed with the Hoosiers after spending four seasons at Miami where he played in 125 games (19 starts). His most productive season came in 2020-21 when he averaged 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Hurricanes.
