Indian-origin Vaibhav Taneja has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Tesla, in addition to his current role as Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). Taneja joined Tesla in 2016 when he became a part of SolarCity, which was later acquired by Tesla. Previously, Zachary Kirkhorn served as the CFO of Tesla for 13 years before announcing his decision to step down. Taneja, a commerce graduate from the University of Delhi, started his journey from Delhi University to Tesla and has held various positions within the company before being promoted to the role of CAO in 2019.
