Jackie Shroff who was recently seen in films like Radhe, Sooryavanshi and Rashtra Kavach Om is excited about his next venture. The film, titled Baap, reunites the actor with his former co-star and friend Sanjay Dutt.
Recalling their past work and sharing the excitement about their reunion, Jackie tells us, “Yes bhidu, it’s like a reunion. I have done nearly half a dozen films with Sanju baba.We have worked together in Khalnayak, Mission Kashmir, Kartoos and Eklavya. The film also stars Mithun dada, who too I have worked with in the past. We have been shooting for this film and only the last schedule is left. We had a blast on the sets.” Baap also features Sunny Deol who Jackie has worked with in films like Vardi and Dushmani.
Apart from this film, Jackie will also be seen in Mast Mein Rehne Ka with Neena Gupta. He says, “I am really looking forward to all my upcoming films. I am happy that cinema halls are buzzing with people once again. I hear popcorn prices have gone down and some theatres have also lowered their ticket rates to invite more footfalls. I am also excited to see my son’s (Tiger) films on the big screen.” Of late, Jackie has been in news for his cooking skills. The actor has been sharing healthy recipes which go viral on social media. About his love for cooking, he had earlier told us, “Did you know that I always wanted to be a chef! And imagine if digital media was there back in the day, then, I would have got a job easily given how my videos are going viral. From a young age, I have seen my mother cook very closely. I used to sit next to her on a patla on the floor. I can still smell the aroma of her food. I had this habit of checking what was cooking in the pot. She always had her nuskhas to make the food healthy, and I just followed those. I see to it that the vegetables are not heavily cooked as it destroys all the nutrients. I am happy that meri recipes dekhke bachchon ko kuch achcha sikhne mil raha hai.”
