On September 18, Jada Pinkett Smith celebrated her 52nd birthday by dyeing her hair a brand-new color. She dipped into rosy hues for hair that looked like a glass of strawberry milk.
The Virgo posted a selfie to Instagram on September 18 to show off her new hair color. The caption read, “This ain’t noth’n but a birthday sherbet surprise within a Virgo sunrise.” Her short, straightened hair looked shiny after being slicked down. The hair on her left side was brushed down towards her ear, and the hair at her crown was swept towards her hairline and slightly to the side. This selfie provides a great angle to admire her metallic pink hair.
We also couldn’t help but notice that her long manicure closely matched her hair color. Her almond-shaped tips were coated with a glossy, nearly transparent pink hue, basically a pink version of trendy milk bath manicures.

It’s extra great to see Smith experimenting with her hair when you consider how much she’s been through because of it. Smith has been very candid about her journey with alopecia since she first revealed her condition on Red Table Talk in 2018. As recently as early August, she posted a picture documenting her hair growth and the salt-and-pepper color she was wearing at the time.
It all begs the question, what’s next? Jada, if you’re listening, we would love to see a vibrant orange or serene blue next.
