Kylie Jenner Has Perfected the Short-Yet-Bold Fall Manicure — See the Photos

Kylie Jenner is in her short-nails era. While Jenner has long been synonymous with extra-long manicures, it seems she’s been in the mood to change up her signature look. In mid-October, Jenner shocked us all with her shortest, reddest mani ever, and she has continued to perfect the short-yet-bold fall mani, as seen in her latest Instagram post.

Jenner celebrated the debut of her forthcoming fashion line, Khy, with a dinner party for her nearest and dearest. She did so in pieces from the collection, but what we’re really laser-focused on is her manicure. The Kylie Cosmetics founder’s nails are much shorter than usual, shaped into a soft square, and painted a darkly romantic deep black cherry to match her black leather outfit. For even more drama, Jenner posed for her Instagram pic with said black cherry manicure delicately cupping a perfect red rose.

Honestly, it’s still shocking to see Jenner with short nails, given that she’s opted for the ultra-long stiletto for so long. (Her big sister Khloé Kardashian is still a firm supporter of Team Long Nails, though sister Kim switches sides often via press-ons.) Then again, it does seem like we’re in a new Kylie era entirely, so swapping her long nails for a shorter set could simply be a sign that her style and overall vibe are changing. The color is ideal: A rich, smoldering, deep, black burgundy is always on-trend for fall, and if a Kardashian-Jenner sister gives it her stamp of approval, it’s only going to get more popular from here.

Jenner finished off her night-out look with a subtle touch of brown eye shadow, fluffy lashes, and flushed rose-red cheeks. Her lips were lined and filled in with a light red to match her blush and her dark hair was styled in loose, tousled curls. Snow White who?
