Mahindra XUV 3XO debut tomorrow: Here are the five things you should know

Mahindra and Mahindra are all set to introduce the new Mahindra XUV 3XO compact SUV in the Indian market tomorrow, i.e. April 29, 2024. The XUV 3XO is essentially the facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV 300 and will be based on the same platform. However, the new model will feature a new design, improved dynamics, a new interior layout with additional features, added safety and much more.Ahead of its launch tomorrow, here are the top five things you should know about the Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Design changes
In terms of design, the overall silhouette of the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will remain the same but it will get re-designed front and rear fascias that are heavily inspired by Mahindra’s BE line-up of SUVs. At the front, it gets chrome-finished triangular embellishments in the grille, flanked by updated headlight clusters and fang-shaped LED DRLs.

It will also get a scuff plate at the front with fog lamps and at the rear, it boasts a re-designed tailgate with connected LED taillights and a taller bumper. In the middle, it gets the “XUV 3XO” moniker along with Mahindra’s “Twin Peaks” logo. Other exterior highlights include newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, an integrated roof spoiler, high high-mounted stop lamp, a shark fin antenna and more.
Interior
The Interior of the new Mahindra XUV 3XO was recently tressed. It will have the same dashboard layout as the Mahindra XUV 400 EV. It will feature a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system which likely measures 10.25-inch and it will also get a re-designed console with piano black and silver finish. The teaser also reveals a fully digital instrument cluster similar to the XUV 400 EV and it’s also expected to get new upholstery options.

Feature list
In terms of features, the Mahindra XUV 3XO will get segment-first features such as a panoramic sunroof, a seven-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and dual-zone climate control which can be accessed through AdrenoX-connected car tech. Many cars in this segment offer connected car tech with remote AC control, but the XUV 3XO will be the first in its segment to offer this feature with dual-zone climate control.

Other expected features include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AdrenoX-connected car tech, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, automatic headlamps with wipers and more. Regarding safety, it’s expected to come with six airbags, all-four disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts, traction control, ESP, TPMS, front and rear sensors, 360-degree parking camera and more.
Powertrain details
Mechanically, the XUV 300 will remain unchanged and will continue to be offered with a 115 hp, 300 Nm 1.5-litre turbo diesel, 110 hp, 200 Nm 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a Turbosport variant with 130 hp, 230 Nm 1.2-litre turbo petrol. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual or an AMT automatic.
Fuel efficiency and rivals

The company has also revealed the mileage and performance figures of the SUV. As visible in the digital instrument cluster, the 3XO will offer a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.1kmpl and the same variant can sprint from 0-60 kph in 4.5 seconds. It will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and upcoming Skoda’s sub-4 metre SUV.
