How much has the price been hiked?
In an exchange filing, the manufacturer announced that the base-spec Sigma variant of the Grand Vitara SUV will get costlier by up to Rs 19,000.On the other hand, the popular hatchback, Swift, gets a price hike of Rs 25,000.

For the Grand Vitara, except for the Sigma trim, the prices for all the variants remain unchanged. Following the price hike, the model range now starts at Rs 10.95 lakh, ex-showroom, going all the way up to Rs 19.97 lakh for the top-of-the-line Alpha Plus Intelligent Hybrid trim.
On the other hand, the prices for the Swift have been increased by Rs 25,000. However, the company has not revealed if the price hike will be applicable to select variants or all. Besides that, the company is likely to launch the facelifted Swift in the country in the coming months. The model has already made its debut in Japan with a new, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine.
In other developments, last month, MSIL sold 1,87,196 units, comprising 1,56,330 domestic sales, 4,974 sales to other OEMs, and 25,892 exports.
For the fiscal year 2023-24, the company achieved its highest-ever total sales of 21,35,323 units, with record domestic sales of 17,93,644 units and exports of 2,83,067 units.
