Maruti Suzuki’s Ayodhya test track in UP becomes fully-automated: Details

Maruti Suzuki, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative towards road safety, has successfully automated its first driving test track at the Driver Training and Testing Institute in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
It is interesting to note that the Ayodhya ADTT was completed within a timeframe of just 45 days, following the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the UP Government in December 2023.
Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki’s plans to enhance road safety extends beyond Ayodhya, with plans to automate DTTIs in Gorakhpur, Mathura, Prayagraj, and Varanasi, all of which will be operational soon.

About the Automated Driving Test Track:
The Ayodhya ADTT boasts a 100 percent computerized system equipped with high-definition cameras and an integrated IT infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive, efficient, and transparent testing procedures.
The facility accommodates testing for both Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) applicants on the same track, with a separate serpentine track dedicated to testing two-wheeler applicants. Evaluation adheres to the standards set by the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR).
Maruti Suzuki’s initiative underscores its commitment to promoting road safety and enhancing driving skills among individuals seeking to obtain driving licenses. With the successful automation of the Ayodhya ADTT and upcoming implementations across other cities in Uttar Pradesh, the company said that it aims to contribute significantly to fostering safer roads and responsible driving practices.
