Megan Thee Stallion Is Bringing Side Bangs Back — See the Photos

If anyone could make me reconsider my position on the side bang, it’s Megan Thee Stallion. Blame it on the late 2000s and early 2010s, a.k.a. some of my most formative years; it’s just something I’m not quite ready to revisit yet! However, the Hot Girl Coach just made a very compelling case for the side bang with not one but two variations on the fringe placement.

While curtain bangs have dominated the trend cycle for the past few years, side-swept bangs are making a triumphant return from the aughts and 2010s. (As the old adage says, everything old is new again, including bang styles from the Tumblr era.) Hair experts told Allure to expect many more side bang styles in 2024, and Megan is here to prove that they look even better in 2024 than they did in 2008.

The rapper has been turning out look after look as of late (hello, stick-on butterfly tattoos!) and it seems she’s been feeling the side bang style recently. In one photo, her long black curls were parted to the side with a thick fringe swept over her forehead, hitting just below her brow and nearly covering her eye. She wore them with a gorgeous soft glam complete with a full, fluttery lash and glossy, rosy lip.

In the second pic, Megan opted for loose waves worn over one shoulder but stuck with the deep part, this time with a piece-y twist on the side bang. For her glam, the rapper chose a monochromatic brown palette to match her leather crop top and pants, including a latte-colored manicure. The bangs are sisters, not twins, and each one brings its own special vibe to the overall look.
