Mercedes-Benz Unveils the 2024 V-Class: Enhanced Design, Features, and More

German Automaker Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new V-Class globally. The new V-Class lineup features fresh designs, advanced features, driver assistance, and more. The new models include the V-Class, V-Class Marco Polo, EQV, Vito, and eVito.

The new V-class range receives a major facelift after a long time. There are two main groups within the V-Class lineup. The first group includes the V-Class, V-Class Marco Polo, and EQV. The second group includes the Vito and eVito, and each group has received different sets of updates.

Talking about the variants, the EQV features the AVANTGARDE line, while the V-Class comes in four variants – entry-level, STYLE, AVANTGARDE, and the EXCLUSIVE luxury line. Optional design packages, including the AMG Line and the Night package, are also available. The Marco Polo variant offers camping features such as a sleeping bed, kitchen top, and a popup roof.

In terms of design, the V-Class features a re-designed front fascia with a bigger grille and sleek LED headlamps. It also has a re-designed lower bumper and newly designed bigger alloy wheels. At the rear, the vehicle remains largely unchanged, except for a few updates to the taillights, lower bumper, and glass area.

Moving on to the interior, the V-Class features a new dashboard layout with advanced features. The EQV, V-Class, and V-Class Marco Polo have twin 12.3-inch widescreen displays. Other features include ambient lighting, connect tech, auto IRVM, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging, dual-sunroof, and more.

The biggest addition is the inclusion of a driver assistance system, which includes features such as Attention Assist, Headlamp Assist with rain sensor, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function, Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent Speed Assist, and Park Package.
The Vito and eVito feature a smaller 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a semi-digital instrument cluster. These models also come with reflector headlights and black bumpers as standard, while higher trims get projector headlamps.

Mercedes has not released any details about the powertrain options for these models. It is expected that they will be available with petrol and turbo diesel engine options, paired with mild and strong hybrid systems. The all-electric EQV is expected to have a 90 kWh battery pack and twin electric motors, with a range of 450-500 Km on a full charge.

The new V-Class has been unveiled to the global markets, and we expect Mercedes to introduce the new models sometime in 2024. When launched, it will compete with the Toyota Vellfire.
