MG Hector, Comet EV among other models get up to Rs 1 lakh discount before Jan price hike: Details

To beat the upcoming price hike slated for January 2024, MG Motor is rolling out substantial discounts in its December Fest. This gives buyers a chance to snag MG models at reduced prices before the revised prices kick in on January 1, 2024. The December 2023 discount list covers MG’s entire car and SUV lineup, featuring the Comet EV and ZS EV SUV. Prospective buyers can avail these discounts before December 31, 2023.
MG Comet EV
Launched earlier this year, the Comet EV is now available with discounts of up to Rs 65,000.It runs on a 17.3kWh battery, offering an ARAI-certified range of 230 km per charge. Noteworthy features include a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, an equally sized infotainment system, and various safety features.

MG Hector
A popular MG model in India, the Hector is eligible for discounts of up to Rs 1 lakh in December. This comprises benefits of up to Rs 50,000 and an additional Rs 50,000 exchange bonus. The SUV comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel variant.
MG Gloster, Astor, and ZS EV
Beyond the mentioned models, MG is extending discounts of up to Rs 1.50 lakh on the flagship SUV, Gloster, and the midsize SUV, Astor. This discount also includes an extra Rs 50,000 exchange bonus. Similarly, the ZS EV, another electric car in MG’s lineup, offers benefits worth Rs 1.50 lakh, featuring a Rs 50,000 exchange bonus.
In November 2023, the Chinese-owned brand sold 4,154 units in the domestic market, thus registering a slight 2 percent growth as compared to the 4,079 units sold in the corresponding month last year. Interestingly, 30 percent of the total sales came from the EV category.
