As the Indian automotive landscape continues to evolve, there has also been a shift in the consumer focus from being mileage-centric to now looking for affordable yet high-performance, feature-rich motorcycles. In 2024, considering the strong demand, several manufacturers will debut new models to compete in the highly contested small and mid-capacity segments.Here, we take a look at somemotorcycles under Rs 3 lakh that are likely to be launched next year.
Honda CBR300R

Honda is expected to finally bring the CBR300R to India during the first quarter of 2024. This upcoming model is essentially an upgraded version of the CBR250R and employs a bigger 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 30.4 hp and 27 Nm of peak torque. It is expected to come at a starting price of Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom.
Benelli Leoncino 250

Benelli

The Benelli Leoncino 250 scrambler motorcycle is sure to turn heads on the streets with its unique design. This motorcycle draws its power from a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that makes 26hp. At present, the manufacturer sells the larger, Leoncino 500 in India. However, we can expect the youngest Leoncino to arrive in India at a starting price of Rs 2.80 lakh, ex-showroom.

Yamaha XSR125

The XSR125 neo-retro commuter motorcycle can be expected to arrive on our shores in mid-2024 to spice up the 125cc commuter segment. We can expect the manufacturer to price-tag it between Rs 1.25 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh, ex-showroom. The Japanese manufacturer has housed a liquid-cooled 124cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 15 hp and 11.5 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

Husqvarna

Swedish bike maker Husqvarna, which is owned by KTM, is expected to debut its Svartpilen 401 model in India in 2024. The motorcycle has already been spied testing in the country. This scrambler is likely to get a 398 cc, single-cylinder mated to a six-speed gearbox. Speaking of the performance, we can expect the same 390 Duke-like 44.8 hp and 39 Nm. We can expect it to be priced at Rs 2.80 lakh, ex-showroom.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber
Amongst the many models that Royal Enfield has in its pipeline slated to be launched in 2024, the Classic 350 Bobber is an important one. This model will be based on the manufacturer’s 350cc J-platform and hence, will get the same air-cooled, 349cc, single-cylinder engine like its sibling in the RE stable. In terms of power output, we can expect something in the range of 20 hp and 28Nm of peak torque.
