New-gen KTM 250, 390 Duke launched in India: Price, specs, features

After debuting the new-gen versions of its Duke range globally a few weeks ago, KTM has now launched the 2024 250 Duke and 390 Duke in the Indian market, starting from Rs 2.39 lakh and Rs 3.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. While the new 250 Duke has only become pricier by about Rs 779, the price for the new-gen 390 Duke has gone up by over Rs 13,000 as compared to the outgoing model.

The new-gen KTM 390 Dukeand 250 Duke are said to be built on an all-new platform with a trellis frame and an aluminum sub-frame, along with new engines resulting in a higher power-to-weight ratio.

KTM also says that the handling has improved. As for the design, the motorcycles carry over the aggressive styling, however, have become even more edgy than before. At the front is a new twin headlamp setup, with LED DRLs now placed on the headlamp housing on either side.

2024 KTM 390 Duke
Powering the new KTM 390 Duke is a bigger 399 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine putting out 45 hp of max power and 39 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and comes with a quickshifter, along with a slipper clutch. Other features on offer include ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, ride modes, cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS, track screen, launch control, a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, type-C charging port, and so on.
The suspension setup consists of WP APEX adjustable front forks with five-click rebound & compression adjustment, coupled with five-click rebound and 10-click preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. KTM is offering the new 390 Duke in two colourways – Electronic Orange Metallic and Atlantic Blue.

The new-gen 250 Duke gets a new 250cc liquid-cooled engine putting out 31 hp of power and 25 Nm torque, 1 hp and 1 Nm more than the previous-gen model. It now gets a quickshifter, ride-by-wire, slipper clutch, a 5-inch LCD display with smartphone connectivity and a type-C charging port. Colour options for now include Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.
