It looks like 2023 hit Hi-Fi Rush could be making its way to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles. The rhythm-action adventure game launched for Xbox and PC last January. The game was announced during a January 2023 Xbox Direct event, and would launch that same day. A year after its surprise shadow drop for Xbox and PC, new evidence suggests the Tango Gameworks rhythm game is coming to PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

As you can see from the tweet above, the recent Hi-Fi Rush Anniversary update seemingly added new files to the game.

The hidden files include T-shirt textures with PlayStation and Nintendo Switch designs.

The timing of the leak and the fact that Nintendo typically holds a Direct conference in February suggests that Hi-Fi Rush could receive another shadow drop, this time for Switch.

Last year’s Nintendo Direct took place on February 8, so don’t be surprised if we get an official announcement next week.

Nintendo will use the upcoming Direct to showcase new Switch games like Princess Peach Showtime, Mario vs Donkey Kong, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Needless to say, fans will also be eager to hear about the Nintendo Switch successor, which is rumoured to launch this year.

The unannounced console will reportedly cost $399 at launch, which is $100 more than the price of the original Switch when it released in 2017.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will also have an LCD display, instead of a superior OLED screen. The decision to use an LCD screen is seen as a cost-cutting measure for Nintendo.

According to previous reports, the new console will launch with an impressive 12GB of RAM.

While it’s less than the 16GB of RAM used in the PS5 and Xbox Series X, it’s more than the 10GB of RAM found in the Xbox Series S.

It’s also believed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will support Ray-tracing technology for superior lighting and shadows.
