With the first Nintendo Direct of 2024 tipped to take place between February 12 and February 15, fans are hoping for a first look at the Nintendo Switch 2. While the exact reveal date remains a mystery, a new leak may have shed some light on some upcoming Switch 2 games. This includes two of the games SEGA announced during last year’s Game Awards, including Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi.

According to prominent leaker Midori (@MbKKssTBhz5), both of the upcoming SEGA games will be released for the next-generation Nintendo device.

Unfortunately, however, the good news ends there, because both titles are a long way off from launch.

Described as a reboot, the new Jet Set Radio game isn’t expected to launch until 2026, while the Crazy Taxi reboot is tipped for 2027.

“The titles at TGA event are coming to next Nintendo hardware,” reads a Midori tweet. “The new Jet Set Radio game is not a remake. The game is a reboot that will be released in 2026.

“Crazy Taxi also had a remake and reboot initiative. And Crazy Taxi is planned for 2027 release right now. The game revealed at TGA event is a Crazy Taxi reboot with online elements. It is not a remake.”

Judging by the tweets, there’s a chance SEGA will release HD remasters of both games ahead of the brand new entries.

Hopefully the other games announced by SEGA will also come to Nintendo’s new console, such as Streets of Rage, Shinobi and Golden Axe.

As for the Nintendo Switch successor, the unannounced console will reportedly cost $399 at launch, which is $100 more than the price of the original Switch when it released in 2017.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will also have an LCD display, instead of a superior OLED screen. The decision to use an LCD screen is seen as a cost-cutting measure for Nintendo.

According to previous reports, the new console will launch with an impressive 12GB of RAM.

While it’s less than the 16GB of RAM used in the PS5 and Xbox Series X, it’s more than the 10GB of RAM found in the Xbox Series S.

It’s also believed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will support Ray-tracing technology for superior lighting and shadows.
