Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric shared a post on his Twitter handle that reads, “S1 Air demand has crossed our expectations. Many asking us to open the ₹1.1 lakh offer to all beyond reservers. We’ll extend the offer to ALL tonight 8pm onwards till 15th August 12pm. All our stores will be open till midnight tonight. Crazy demand, buy fast for early delivery!”
Currently, the Ola S1 Air is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for customers who had already reserved their electric scooter. To new buyers, the S1 Air electric scooter will cost an additional Rs 10,000. Sharing the same platform as the Ola S1 Pro, the S1 Air uses a 3 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 125 km per charge. The hub-mounted electric motor generates a peak power of 6 hp. The electric scooter sprints from 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds and achieves a top speed of 90 kmph, says Ola Electric.
Ola S1 Pro Review: Great progress but not glitch free yet
For suspension, the Ola S1 Air gets telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes at the front and rear.
Recently, the purchase window for the Ola S1 Air electric scooter was opened for its community members on July 28. The company confirmed that the S1 Air clocked 3,000 unit sales within a few hours of opening the purchase window .
