Ola Electric has announced a flat discount of Rs 20,000 on the newly-launched S1 X+ electric scooter, which is now priced at Rs 89,999, ex-showroom. The EV maker has announced the discount as part of the ‘December to Remember’ campaign featuring several offers and discount schemes.
The company’s EV range can also be had with finance offers that include discounts up to Rs 5,000 on select credit cards, zero down payment, zero processing fee, and interest rates as low as 6.99 percent.
The announcement on the price cut comes days after the Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy announced that it will be launching an affordable variant of its maiden product, the Simple One, on December 15. Christened as ‘Dot One’ this product will remain unchanged entirely in terms of performance, design, and specs, but it will come with the fixed battery only, thus compromising on the range. These changes will accommodate the price reductions that will make the model further competitive and put on a fight in the sub-Rs 1 lakh space.

The S1 X+ employs a 3 kWh battery providing a claimed range of 151 km. Powered by a 6kW motor, it accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds and gets a top speed of 90 kmph.
Ola recently expanded its S1 portfolio, which now includes the S1 Pro (2nd Generation), priced at Rs 1.48 lakh, and the S1 Air at Rs 1.20 lakh. The most affordable model, the S1X, is available in three variants with bookings for the S1 X (3kWh) and S1 X (2kWh) open at a token amount of Rs 999, with introductory prices of Rs 99,999 and Rs 89,999, respectively.
