Now, an old video of the actress from her graduation ceremony from 2013 has resurfaced and is now doing the rounds on social media. In the video, we can see Sara being called on the stage with the name ‘Sara Sultan‘.
In the video, Sara is seen receiving her graduation certificate from Nita Ambani and Aamir Khan. However, as Sara accepts her certificate, her parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, can be spotted beside her. Both Saif and Amrita are seen radiating with pride as their daughter achieves another milestone. For those unfamiliar, Sara holds a degree in history and political science from Columbia University.

After the video surfaced online, social media users quickly flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts. Many were puzzled by the use of the name ‘Sara Sultan’ instead of ‘Sara Ali Khan’. One user expressed confusion, writing, “So their last name is Sultan????? What.” Another user asked, “Why is she called Sara Sultan here? I remember even in an interview she said her name is Sara Sultan Everywhere else it says Sara Ali Khan Pataudi.”

In an old interview with East India Comedy, Sara Ali Khan disclosed that during her past travels to the US, airport officials would often scrutinize her due to the stark contrast between her current appearance and the photos on her identification, stemming from her significant 96kg weight loss. She further revealed possessing various visas, including a student visa and a regular one, which sometimes raised suspicions among airport authorities. Khan also mentioned having ‘Sultan’ as her title on her student visa but refrained from elaborating on it to avoid any potential issues with authorities.
