Thousands of people gathered at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica to watch the annual World Dog Surfing Championships. The event featured fourteen four-legged surfers competing against each other. Carson, the defending champion in the Small Dog division, prepared to defend his title. Photographs captured Carson and his owner, Jill Nakano, in a wetsuit as they made their way through the crowd to participate in the competition. Another photo showed Carson riding a wave but eventually falling off. A dog dressed as a lifeguard watched the other competitors. James Wall and his dog, Faith, also participated in the championships. James received assistance in carrying Faith down to the shore for their turn. Faith, wearing goggles, showcased her surfing skills. The beach was filled with surf dog paparazzi documenting the event. Linda Mar Beach served as the host for the World Dog Surfing Championships. Various competitors were captured riding waves during the competition, including Cherie. The event also included vendors, and Eric Kovalkoski’s 14-month-old son, Lukas, fell for a stuffed animal purchased at the championships.
