Niantic has revealed the locations for this year’s Pokemon Go Fest events. According to Niantic, the 2024 Pokemon Go Fest will take place in three different cities, including Sendai in Japan, New York City, and sunny Madrid. It all begins with the Sendai event, which runs from May 30 until June 2. Known as “The Greenest City” and “City of Trees”, Sendai is located northeast of Tokyo in Japan’s Tohoku Region. Early bird tickets are currently available at the discounted price of 3,100 Yen, which works out at around £17.

Next up is Madrid, where the Pokemon Go Fest will be held in two locations from June 14 until June 16.

“Madrid is split into different experiences between two locations: Parque Juan Carlos I and throughout greater Madrid!” reads a Niantic blog post.

“Attendees will enjoy exclusive gameplay, special bonuses, and more as they adventure alongside thousands of fellow Trainers and spend half their day in Parque Juan Carlos I and half exploring the larger Madrid area!”

Tickets include access to both locations at different times of the day. The early bird price for a ticket is €27 (around £23).

The Mythical Pokemon Marshadow (the Gloomdweller Pokemon) will make its debut during the event, alongside Klefki, the Key Ring Pokemon (previously exclusive to France) and Shiny Crabrawler.

According to Niantic, Heat Rotom may appear in snapshots as a surprise encounter during in-person GO Fest events.

The 2024 Pokemon Go Fest celebrations conclude in New York City, where events will be split between Randall’s Island Park and throughout the rest of the city.

Taking place from July 5 until July 7, early bird tickets are currently available for just $25 (around £21), and include access to both locations.

In addition to Marshadow and Klefki, attendees at the New York event will be able to capture Shiny Ducklett and Shiny Unown, as well as Eevee wearing a sun crown and Eevee wearing a moon crown.

Elsewhere, attendees will be able to purchase exclusive merchandise, take photographs with costumed Pokemon, and battle other Trainers in dedicated arenas.
