Pokemon Go fans are counting down to the Sinnoh Global Tour event, which takes place this weekend. The free in-game event sees players explore the Sinnoh region, collect Pokemon and take part in an adventure through space and time. The Pokemon Go Tour Sinnoh event takes place between 10am and 6pm local time on February 24 and February 25. While there are a couple of paid research missions available from the in-game store, the bulk of the event is completely free of charge for Trainers.

Pokemon Go developer Niantic explains more: “When trouble arises for Team GO Rocket, will you answer the call? Trainers around the world can take part in an exclusive Special Research story during Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global.

“In this Special Research story with branching paths, Trainers can choose one of the Sinnoh region’s first-partner Pokemon to explore with.

“Plus, Trainers can look forward to reward encounters with other Pokemon first discovered in the Sinnoh region, including Spiritomb!”

Described as “mysterious phenomena connecting our world to the distant past”, space-time anomalies will crop up throughout the duration of the event.

During these anomalies, Pokemon from the Hisui region originally found in the Switch game Pokemon Legends: Arceus will appear in habitats and raids.

Space-time anomalies during the event will take place during the Ancient Grove (11am-12pm/3pm-4pm) and Geothermal Lagoon (1pm-2pm/5pm-6pm) habitat hours.

During these hours, Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia will appear in Raids, while Unown H, Unown I, Unown S, and Unown U will be attracted to Incense.

As part of the event, players will be able to pick either a Diamond Badge or a Pearl Badge. The chosen badge will lead to different outcomes and bonuses.

Trainers who choose the Diamond badge, for example, can encounter an Origin Forme Dialga that knows the Roar of Time attack.

If you choose the Pearl badge, on the other hand, there’s a chance you’ll encounter an Origin Forme Palkia with the Spacial Rend signature attack.

Needless to say, there’s even a chance you’ll encounter a shiny Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia. Other shiny Pokemon appearing during the event include a shiny Stunky.
