While talking at the ongoing India International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Pooja Bhatt, however ruled out the idea for another classic, “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, ” starring herself and Aamir Khan. She said, “You cannot remake Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin because you cannot replace Mahesh Bhatt and it cannot be made without him.” However, she expressed enthusiasm for exploring the potential of “Zakhm,” considering its continued relevance and the prospect of introducing it to a new generation.

Also, Pooja, currently reveling in the ‘honeymoon phase’ of her acting career, has no immediate plans to return to directing. The actress, who is at IFFI for the screening of her film “Sanaa,” expressed her enjoyment of being on set, learning dialogues, and being directed by others. When asked about the possibility of directing her superstar family members, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Pooja emphasized living in the present and not making fixed plans, savoring her time as an actor.

Pooja is particularly enthusiastic about “Sanaa” and praised the film’s director, Sudhanshu Saria, as one of the most significant feminists. Dismissing the notion that only a female filmmaker can authentically tell a woman’s story, she emphasized that empathy and storytelling transcend gender boundaries. Pooja highlighted the feminist values embodied by her father, Mahesh Bhatt, and commended Sudhanshu Saria as an even bigger feminist than many women she knows.
