Rajkumar Hirani has fans buzzing about his upcoming film ‘Dunki‘ with Shah Rukh Khan. While the director is getting ready for his big-screen comeback, reports state that he is also gearing up for his OTT debut.
The latest reports suggest that the filmmaker is working on an untitled project which will feature actor Vikrant Masseyin the lead. However, he will not direct this project, just produce it and will likely give his creative input.
Preparations are on in full swing, with the ensemble cast being finalized. According to a Zoom, Hirani wanted to get into the OTT space for over a year and was waiting for the right script to come along.Hirani is simultaneously working on the release of his film ‘Dunki’, which explores the illegal immigration route known as the Donkey Flight. The film stars SRK in the lead along with Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal and others.
The buzz is that the film will secure Shah Rukh’s hat trick at the box office. The actor, who already has two 1000 crore movies to his name, is touted to end the year on a high with another big box office blockbuster. He is currently the only actor in the history of the Hindi film industry, to have two Rs 1000 crore films, he shares this achievement with SS Rajamouli. However, SRK managed this feat in a single year. Should ‘Dunki’ also rake in the big bucks, he will extend that record to three films.
