Prabhas’s last release Adipurush grossed more than Rs 390 crore worldwide but the film was more in the news for its bad VFX, distasteful dialogues and poor representation of characters. But all that is now a thing of the past. Prabhas seems to be starting all over again with his next film and the audience has already begun to lap up the film. Prabhas’s next is Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire which is directed by Prashanth Neel who last delivered the blockbuster KGF 2.
Going by the current numbers, Salaar which is still 32 days away from its release has already sold more than 13500 tickets for its opening weekend. The film is being screened at 952 locations and has minted more than Rs 3 crore. The number is only going to go upwards as more assets from the film will be released. The trailer of the film is also expected to release in the next few weeks.
When the teaser of the film was released on 7th July at 5:12 AM, it set the social media on fire. So far it has crossed over 128 million views just on YouTube. There was also speculation that the film is part of KGF’s universe but nothing concrete has come out yet. The teaser showed Prabhas as ‘the most violent’ man with high-octane action and dialogues.
The film also features Prithviraj as the main antagonist and Shruti Haasan playing the lead actress. The film is supported by a stellar cast of Tinu Anand, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Garuda Ram. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Besides this Prabhas also has another futuristic action adventure film lined up – Kalki 2898 AD with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone.
