Prince Harry appears to have taken another side-swipe at the rest of the royal family, suggesting he was not emotionally supported after the death of his mother, Princess Diana, or after his tour of Afghanistan.
In a new Netflix documentary about the Invictus Games, Harry said he was left “lying in the foetal position” and “bouncing off walls” after returning from his tour of duty.
The new show, called Heart of Invictus, explores the lives of the injured military veterans who take part in the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014.

In the second episode Harry talks about his own mental health struggles after returning from Afghanistan.
“I can only speak from my personal experience, my tour of Afghanistan in 2011 flying Apaches,” he said.
“Somewhere after that there was an unravelling and the trigger to me was returning from Afghanistan.
“But the stuff that was coming up was from 1997 – from the age of 12.
“Losing my mum at such a young age, the trauma that I had, I was never really aware of.”
He said he learned to suppress his emotions as a young boy, but after Afghanistan the opposite happened.
“I was thinking what is going on here – now I’m feeling everything as opposed to being numb,” he said.
“The biggest struggle for me was that no one around me could really help.
“I didn’t have that support structure that network or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me.
“Unfortunately like most of us, the first time you really consider therapy is when you’re lying on the floor in the foetal position probably wishing that you dealt with some of this stuff previously.”
In other parts of the documentary Harry talked about being a father and what his son Archie wanted to be when he grew up.
“When I talk to my son Archie about what he wants to be when he grows up, some days it’s an astronaut, other days it’s a pilot,” he revealed.
“But what I remind him is, ‘no matter what you want to be when you grow up, it’s your character that matters most’.”
