Qualcomm and Samsung Debut the Most Advanced Snapdragon Ever

The strategic partnership between Qualcomm and Samsung has borne more fruit with today’s announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series smartphones. The trio of new handhelds are powered by Qualcomm’s most advanced chipset yet, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra worldwide and the S24 and S24 Plus in select markets. The new processor powers the brand-new Galaxy AI technology, which brings many AI-powered features to the S24 family, including generative image editing tools and live translation.

“We’re proud to continue working alongside Samsung to lead this new era for the mobile industry and provide consumers with extraordinary premium experiences,” says Chris Patrick, senior vice president and general manager of mobile handset, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

“Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy instills its advanced AI capabilities in the Galaxy S24 series to enable new experiences with everyday life. It also fuels advanced professional-quality camera, gaming experiences and ultra-fast connectivity including Wi-Fi 7, plus offers one of the most reliable authentication solutions available with our Qualcomm 3D Sonic Gen 2 technology,” Patrick continues.
