Babar on Monday delivered a dazzling performance by hammering an impressive 104 runs from just 59 balls while representing his team Colombo Strikers and gudied them to a 7-wicket victory over the Galle Titans in a Lanka Premier League(LPL) encounter.
Babar’s scintillating innings was studded with 8 boundaries and 5 sixes. Apart from Babar’s solid batting display, another highlight that captured the attention of fans was the amusing comment made by former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja during the live commentary.
“Fifty in security, class and quality. Calmness. He is your guy in such a situation. He can bat deep in the innings. I absolutely love him… Yeah, want to marry him,” Raja said during the live commentary.

Currently participating in the LPL, he is honing his skills in preparation for India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 showdown, set to unfold on September 2 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.
After the Asia Cup, Babar will be leading Pakistan in the World Cup where the men in green will face the 2011 champions in a high-voltage clash on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (the date change from October 15 to 14 has not been officially confirmed by the ICC yet).
