Raymond MD Gautam Singhania slams Maserati! Calls Rs 3.69 crore MC20 the worst car ever

Launched at a base price of Rs 3.69 crore (ex-showroom) before options earlier this year, the Maserati MC20 supercar rivals the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo S, Lamborghini Huracan and Ferrari 296 GTB in the country. However, Raymond Group MD and Chairman Gautam Singhania seems to have had an awful experience with the Italian supercar.

In a string of posts made on his official X (formerly Twitter) account in the past couple of days, Singhania claims that the MaseratiMC20 is the “worst car” he has ever driven in his life.

He went on to warn anyone planning to purchase an MC20 to think twice! “I genuinely believe the Maserati is a dangerous car and somebody might kill himself in it. Indian authorities should take note,” wrote Singhania in a different post.
It seems like Gautam Singhania has run into some trouble with his own MC20 supercar and is trying to reach out to Maserati on a public forum after not being pleased with the response from the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer. Maserati India responding to Singhania’s claims said that the “car is in perfect condition”.

In a statement, Maserati announced that each vehicle undergoes “rigorous quality control measures” before leaving the facilities. “Our team was quick to address the technical concerns raised by Mr Singhania’s team. We confirm that the specific technical concern raised is performing within its design capacity and meets Maserati’s stringent quality standards. Though we take any issues or feedback seriously, we also stand by the quality and reliability of our products. Hence, we would like to reiterate that the car is in perfect condition,” the statement read.
