Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s latest offering Salaar- Part 1 Ceasefire generated a lot of buzz before the release and the film has lived up to the expectations. The film has everything for Prabhas’s fans from action to drama to powerful dialogues etc. The film released on 22nd December had an extended weekend of 4 days because of the Christmas holiday and has managed to make the most of the holiday period. As per Sacnilk, it currently stands at the total collection of Rs 251.60 crore ( Friday: Rs90.7 crore , Saturday: Rs 56.35 crore, Sunday: Rs 62.05 crore and Monday Rs 42.50 crore ). Though one would want to believe that the film has underperformed in comparison to Prashanth Neel’s last films KGF and KGF 2. One needs to understand that the genre of both the films are different, so one can expect same results.

But what Salaar has managed to achieve in these 4 days is that has beaten the 4 days numbers of some of the biggest hits of the year like Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. While Pathaan, which released during the Republic day weekend, managed to collect just Rs 220 crore, Animal which released on 1st December had collected Rs 245.49 crore. But the film still stays firmly behind the biggest hit of the year Jawan which had minted more than Rs 286 crore in its first 4 days.
Also its worthy to not that by the time the week ends and the trend continues , Salaar would have beaten Tiger 3’s lifetime collection of Rs 283, it is just 31 crore short.
