In 2020, Rahul Roy had suffered a brain stroke while he was shooting for LAC – Live the Battle in Kargil. He was taken to Wockhardt Hospitals where he underwent angiography of the brain and heart. Later, the Aashiqui star was shifted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital in the ICU.
Rahul’s soul sister Priyanka Roy thanked Salman Khan for clearing the actor’s medical bills while he was in the hospital for about 1.5 months following his brain stroke.
Priyanka revealed to Bollywood Hungama that Salman cleared the bills in February itself. She also clarified that the director of LAC had paid some money from Rahul’s pending remuneration but it wasn’t enough. Salman called Rahul asking if he can help with anything and Priyanka said that the superstar literally did it.She said the most beautiful is that Salman never spoke about it in the media. This touched her heart and called him a gem of a person. She also clarified that she didn’t ask him for help but Salman actually helped them in trouble. “This is called you are a star. Not just being a star in front of the camera,” she said.
To this, Rahul added, “Salman ke sath sab log boltein hai woh aisa hai, woh waisa hai (People think Salman is this and that), but for me, he is a good person.” Priyanka also asked Rahul to approach Salman for work since now his health is fine.
