Samantha Ruth Prabhu turned heads on Thursday night in her stunning ensemble at the Elle Sustainability Awards. The actor quickly grabbed eyes to a monochromatic, beaded bodice gown. You’ll be shocked to know that it was the same gown she wore during her wedding to Naga Chaitanya in 2017. Samantha intended to alter the flowery appliqué and beadwork on her white gown, turning it into a black cocktail dress for an award event.
Kresha Bajaj, the designer of Samantha’s wedding dress, posted a video of the gown’s creation on Instagram. She demonstrated how, after dyeing it entirely black and modifying the design, they hand-sewn flower and crystal embellishments onto her white gown in 2017. Samantha wore the same gown for the awards ceremony years later. The designer wrote, ” There are always new memories to be made. There are always new paths to walk. There are always new stories to tell. We loved working with Samantha, our muse, to help her create a new memory, and tell another story. Beauty is forever. And it can take on a new form every day.
