San Francisco’s most photogenic moments of 2023

Looking back on our photos from these past 12 months, we can’t tell whether 2023 went quickly or January was three lifetimes ago. That said, the year certainly seemed like a very visual lap around the sun, particularly here in the Bay Area, from our turbulent winter to our fall festival season.

On top of all that, we got the view from the mud at Burning Man via our California parks editor Ashley Harrell, and were front and center in the photo pit during Outside Lands. Plus, who can forget that time our photographers shadowed a punk band while they played a concert in the middle of a BART train.

All in all, it was a very photogenic year. Scroll down to see some of our favorite shots.
