Shah Rukh Khan’s action-packed performances in the 2023 blockbuster films, ‘Pathaan‘ and ‘Jawan‘, have earned him international recognition.
The actor, who made a smashing comeback to the big screen with some over-the-top action entertainers, has reportedly secured nominations at the Vulture’s 2023 Annual Stunt Awards. Khan’s action films are set to compete against Hollywood heavyweights like Keanu Reeves‘ ‘John Wick 4‘ and Tom Cruise‘s ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’.
While ‘Jawan’, directed by Atlee, earned nominations in three categories – Best Vehicular Stunt, Best Stunt in an Action Film and Best Overall Action Film, the Siddharth Anand directorial ‘Pathaan’, received nominations for Best Aerial Stunt and Best Overall Action Film.Other contenders in the category include Ana De Armas’ ‘Ballerina’, Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Covenant’, Chris Hemsworth‘s ‘Extraction 2’, ‘Fist of the Condor’, ‘Silent Night’, and ‘Shin Kamen Rider’.
‘Pathaan’ hit screens in January 2023 and made a splash at the domestic and international box office. By the end of its run at the ticket windows, the film raked in an impressive Rs 1055 crore. SRK followed up the box office triumph with another hit – ‘Jawan’ – which released in theatres in September 2023. The film went on to beat SRK’s previously held records to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time with a collection of Rs 1160 crore worldwide.

On the work front, Shah Rukh is reportedly set to appear next in the film ‘The King’, where he is expected to share screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan.
