Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan‘s ‘Shaitaan‘ is already in its fourth weekend, continuing to draw audiences. Over the weekend, the film collected Rs 1.25 crore on Friday, just a 25% drop from its Thursday collection of Rs 1.6 crore. On Saturday, it spiked again to collect Rs 1.6 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk, thus taking the total collection of the film to Rs 137 crore.
Trade experts are confident that the film is all set to cross the Rs 140 crore mark before the next weekend, paving the way for it to touch the magical number of Rs 150 crore, making it one of the biggest hits of Ajay’s career.
In its first week, the film earned about Rs 79.75 crore, dropping by nearly 56% in the second week to earn Rs 34.55 crore. In the third week, the film added another Rs 19.85 crore, taking its three-week total to Rs 134.15 crore.
The year 2024 could truly be an Ajay Devgn year, with the superstar having more than four releases. Starting with ‘Shaitaan'” his next release is “Maidaan,” which will be followed by ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha‘. Post which he will release his magnum opus ‘Singham Again‘ with Rohit Shetty, and his last release of the year would be ‘Raid 2’ with Ritiesh Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla.
Returning to ‘Shaitaan’ is the official Hindi remake of the Gujarati film “Vash,” with newcomer Janki Bodiwala reprising the role in this supernatural horror thriller. Talks have already begun for the second installment of the series.
