On Tuesday, Green grabbed the Timberwolves center and put him in a chokehold, resulting in a five-game suspension and condemnation around the league, even from his own coach. “Draymond has to find a way to not cross the line — I’m not talking about an ejection or a technical — I’m talking about a physical act of violence,” Steve Kerr said. “That’s inexcusable.”

The attack, just the latest in Green’s long line of misdeeds, was fertile ground for SNL’s writers. Devon Walker played Green in the visit to the Weekend Update studio. When asked by Michael Che if he regretted it, Walker’s Green was emphatic. “Hell naw. Uh uh,” he said. “I can’t wait to do it again.”

“You choked a man during a game!” Che responded.

“Yeah, but I was trying to kill him,” Walker’s Green shot back.

The sketch focused on Green’s seeming obsession with slights and revenge. At one point, he got out a notebook to keep track of his grievances.

“Even your own coach called your actions ‘inexcusable’ and said your five-game suspicion was deserved,” Che said.

“He really said that? Hm, interesting,” Walker’s Green said while jotting down some notes.

“What are you writing, man?” Che asked. “Just a little list,” he replied. “Stuff I gotta do later.”

Golden State, without Green, plays the Houston Rockets at Chase Center Monday at 7 p.m.
