With rental vacancies at record lows, prospective tenants are having to be open to considering all styles of accommodation.
On offer this week — and already snapped up for $320p/w — was a studio apartment with a strange feature more commonly seen in central London or New York.

The studio apartment in Woy Woy, on the NSW Central Coast, takes the definition of “open plan” to a new level — with a shower smack bang in the kitchen.
As you walk through the door, you are met with shower tiles and a cubicle — right next to kitchen bench tops, cupboards and sink.
According to the Domain listing, one tenant accepted the unusual property for $320 a week.
Last year, a similar property, in the Sydney suburb of Enmore, was leased for $260 a week.
That property was at the back of a building and had an external toilet.
Also raising eyebrows last year was a Sydney apartment rented out for $400 a week.
The real estate agent described that tiny space as having a “warehouse feel” with a “loft-style sleeping area”.
After video was posted online of the small rental, people called the flat a “prison cell”.
Images of the property showed a tiny room which — apart from a bench, sink and small cupboard — was completely bare.
